It's all in the details [Orange County, CA: baby shower photography]

Sometimes I tend to forget how important details are. I think about how my whole career is based on an image and presentation. I'm constantly thinking about this while I'm on the clock and once I'm home, it becomes a secondary thought.
I went to this great baby shower yesterday, and luckily had my camera with me so I could take bunch of detail shots. The couple of the day are first time parents and expecting twins - one boy and one girl. Amazing, right?
Their sweet, sweet neighbor threw them the hands-down best baby shower. The theme was "two peas in a pod". All throughout the house, there were green and yellow color themes, handmade banners, and the thank you gift to all guests was a little packet of sweet pea seeds. It was a co-ed, and completely casual with BBQ and beer and no silly baby games - a celebration to the fullest.

I celebrated the couple by taking 5 lbs of candy from the amazing candy spread.

With our sugar high buzz, we went from the shower to an after-party where we destroyed some Rock Band. Hi, 5 years ago? It's me, Suzanne. I had never played before, and well...I think there's a chance my true calling is to be a drummer.

This is the new year (almost...) [Orange County, CA calligraphy, wedding placecards, botanical wedding]

Welp...I just finished the last project of the year for Papir Machin. It's bittersweet: I have so many plans for the future of PM but look back at the past year and how hard I worked and wonder if I did enough to make my brand more complete. I have lots of plans this coming year and can't wait to being working towards this bigger goal of mine.

Until then, I leave you with placecards for a lovely botanical New Years wedding I had the pleasure of working on.

Until next year... ;)
